The Cote d’Ivoire-Singapore Business Seminar 2014 organized by the Singapore Business Federation was held on 6 November 2014, in conjunction with the visit of H.E. Mr Patrick Achi, Minister of Economic Infrastructure of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire.

A group of senior officials from Cameroon Douala Port Authority and Senegal Dakar Port visited Malaysia and Singapore on a study tour to interact with companies and public sector agencies for identifying best practices from South East Asia on port management, financing, infrastructure planning, technologies deployment, marketing strategies among others. Mr. Alioune Gueye, the Editor-in- Chief for Afrique Business Journal also joined the visits.

The Burkina Faso Singapore Business Forum 2014, jointly organised by the Singapore Business Federation and the Africa Business Group Singapore, was held on 24 April 2014 at Conrad Centennial Singapore Hotel. The event was graced by H.E. Blaise Compaoré, President of Burkina Faso, who also gave the keynote address. The Chamber sent 4 representatives to attend the event.

The Africa Business Group (AfBG), part of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) group, organized an awareness seminar on Togo on 14 April 2014. The seminar allowed the Singapore business community to obtain first-hand information on the latest developments and business opportunities in Togo.

The inaugural Niger-Singapore Business Forum 2014 organized by the Singapore Business Federation was held on 23 January 2014, in conjunction with the visit of H.E. Mahamadou Issoufou, President of the Republic of Niger.

President of Afrique Challenge in Morocco, Mr. Alioune Gueye, was joined by a district mayor in Yaoundé, a former Member of Parliament of Cameroon, and a senior official from Doula Port Authority for a visit to the Chamber office on 6 December 2013.
